Membership Ages and Categories

Ages:

  • Under 6 years
  • Juniors 7 to 13 years
  • Active Cadets 13 to 15 Years – This is the eligible age to obtain your Surf Rescue Certificate (SRC)
  • Active Juniors 15 to 18 years – This is the eligible age to obtain your Bronze Medallion
  • Seniors 18+ years
  • Veterans & Masters

Categories:

Active Members: Are those who hold a currently proficient Bronze Medallion or Surf Rescue Certificate.  They are required to undertake patrol duties as rostered by the Club Captain and cannot compete in Surf Lifesaving competition unless they fulfill these obligations of 25 patrolling hours per year. Active membership is divided into various catergories, commencing at 15 years of age.

Award Members: Is open to any member who holds a current proficient Lifesaving award.

Associate Member: Are members without any awards, they have full club usage rights but are not able to vote at meetings.

Junior Members: Any child who is a minimum age of 5 years old before 30th September of each season or a maximum age of 13 years old at the same date is eligable to become a Junior Member.

Supporters Association Member: This calss of membership gives rights to use the Club social facilites and bar.

Only Active and Award members are entitled to vote at Club AGM’s and Special General Meetings
