The SLSA Surf Sports Manual has been revised to reflect source document (Internet) changes made to competition rules since the 32nd edition of the Manual was published in 2004 and to make further changes to SLSA Competition Rules.

All changes to the Manual have been made by SLSA’s Surf Sports Committee in consultation with the Board of Surf Sports, the Surf Sports Advisory and Athletes Committee, subject matter experts, members and other interested parties. The changes have been endorsed by the Australia Council.

We do have drinking water in a big bottle at the bar but it is not big enough for everyone to use.

We do sell bottles of water as well but it may be an idea to get into the habit of bringing your own water bottles out for training purposes.

We desperately need new parents to help out with the water safety as it is for all the children, all you need to do is your Surf Rescue Certificate or Bronze Medallion. Assistance with this would be a great help towards the club.

Another option as well to be part of helping the club is if more parents would like to become Officials as well. The club has to provide 1 to 10 ratios for Water safety and Officialling for each area so if we cannot get parents to take on these roles everyone will not be able to compete or the club will be fined for not giving the right amount of people at carnivals.

Each year we have had the same people putting their hands up to either Official or do Water Safety so that members can compete we need more parents to step up and help out with these jobs at carnivals.

If you are interested in either of these jobs please contact Peta at the club and she can inform you of what you have to do to obtain this.
